Olaplex the wonder product hits Melbourne
Posted by hairhubadmin on 10 May 2016 / 0 Comment

Heard the buzz? Olaplex is the amazing new hairdressing product the world-wide industry is embracing and Hair Hub by Falcone Camberwell is one of the few Melbourne salons using this innovative product. Long story short, it allows us to push hair colour much further without causing damage, including blonde. If you’ve ever wanted to go blonde, now’s the time. We’ll use Olaplex to take your colour to new heights whilst maintaining condition. Here’s my Q&A on this acclaimed wonder product…

What’s all the fuss about?

With such advanced and revolutionary science behind it, it has taken the hair industry by storm. Olaplex allows hairdressers the opportunity to particularly push blonde work to the next level without added damage to the hair.

How do you use Olaplex in the salon?

No 1 is a bond multiplier and is used during chemical services in the salon. No 2 is the bond perfector. This is used after a chemical service at the basin.

How should clients use it at home?

No 3 is the take home treatment. This process should be completed once a week to continue the repair process between colour services.

To use No 3 apply to damp hair (roots to ends), comb through, leave in for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Rinse from hair, shampoo and condition.

What type of hair/colour is it particularly good for?

It’s great for all hair colours. Everyone can benefit, whether it be the No 3 take home or in salon use. However it is renowned for being able to push blondes to the next level without damaging the hair.

What have you noticed now you’ve been using it in salon for some months?

First and foremost we have noticed the condition (shine, strength and softness) of our clients’ hair. Olaplex has allowed our colourists the opportunity to push the limits with chemical services.

How does Olaplex work?

It reconnects broken disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair. Hair bonds are broken during thermal, mechanical and chemical services. Olaplex helps to reconnect the bonds in the hair. This helps with the strength, shine and overall condition of the hair.
